66179, Transcend Strike Questions

As an non-empowered monk, do I get all the same things other empowered monks would?
1. Transcend only shows as knife and spear. At what level should I be able to get different types of strikes? I'm mid ranks right now, but only show those two.
Is this by design or am I missing requirements for more transcend types?
