Curious because of all forum talk. I want to try a different build but won't if deletion of all characters is coming.
If deletion comes, can I ask why?

Admittedly, I'm not at the helm of all the workings of the new age, but if I recall correctly, there's only been one pwipe in all of CF. At the start of the...2nd (maybe 3rd?) age when "giant" was split into storm/cloud/fire, and "cleric" was split into healer/shaman/druid. The 5th age was never intended to be a pwipe, and really was more taking what accidentally happened RL (our hosting company deleting everything), and explaining it ICly.
I'd say feel free to roll up whatever you like.
