65091, Bat lagging mechanics

Am I getting this right that the standard method of avoiding bat lag is the same as for cranial and blackjack i.e. AC vs bash on a headwear?

There isn't much a PC can do to mitigate bat besides having haste or blinding the paladin (in the case of passive bat). Its success rate largely boils down to the paladin's various skill percentages, dex/wis (biggest factor), and affects. On the right build it can get pretty high.

That I can tell armor doesn't seem to matter when it comes to defending against bat. I could be wrong but reading the available logs bat seemed to work just fine against a decent set including Dern gear which has some real good ac values associated to it.

I have alot more issues with bat that the lagging side which from all looks seems pretty bad both in what I have read and what I have experienced.

- The failure rate seems to be pretty low if one exists at all (I have seen it fail from user perspective but no idea if perfected or not)
- It can be done up to more than once a combat round and it can be used to start combat. I cannot think of any other move that can be used to start combat while also giving good chasing ability right after dealing damage due to the user lag of less than a round
- I have not seen the skill get evaded once
- It does not cause a yell regardless of where it has struck
... Which seems at odds with Paladin code
9. Respect the laws of the land and those who seek to enforce them.
- It forms stack able maledictions as well
65096, It isn't as bad as the logs make it out to be. n/t

This. Mostly it doesn't work that well. In my experience w champion it's super strong until 30ish then it really really fades.
65098, Yep.

The guy ranked past 30 and lost his 2 eagle staffs. You will not see multi-kill trigger bat logs anymore with any frequency.
65115, can fail to hit at 100% skill, can be evaded

It is a level 10 skill, so odds are very good the users have it perfected.

I have a log of using it at level 50 while ranking in Arin'gird, I missed 12 times out of 108 strikes. Even if it does land it doesn't necessarily lag, it also doesn't necessarily maladict, only when striking arm/shoulder from what I know.

Mirozah is a transmuter, transmuters do not get evade. What is being seen here I believe is the spell "Level 35: malleability"

Further to this you have not given yourself the best number cruncher chance for the skill, because your wisdom was 19 (not sure if this also impacts success to be honest).

"This strike can be executed slightly more quickly by champions who are quick, wise, and skilled in the technique."

Agree on wisdom, showed score for this reason.

I will find you other logs of this echo, it was common. I believe when bat misses/evades, the victim doesn't get an echo- it doesn't initiate combat.

Speed wise I could bat twice per round. PvE wise, fend also has some interesting delay /round interactions

I got a tonne of pve mileage out of fend. Exceptional tanking skill
