1) Transcend: The helpfile indicates (as does my experience) that only empowered paladins can transcend beyond knife and spear. Oversight or by design?
2) Avoid: Helpfile indicates it is like dodge, but works off of wisdom. Is there a dex component, or just wisdom? So presumable a azure-touched monk has the best avoid?
3) Half-Elf/Drow/Human paladins: Would it make sense to be able to select your prime stat with the addition of monks and champions, I could see selecting wisdom or dex as a prime stat instead of strength... This is probably true of the other dedications as well. I could easily see the case for wisdom, or even int as a preferred prime state for your build.
4) Paladins are the #### and I'm really enjoying trying their skill set out for the first time without feeling like I'm wasting my or some poor Immortal's time.
5) Why do paladin's starting stats suck so bad? Balance? (Seems mostly fair btw, just surprised)
6) Why are storm giant's stats so bad? 24 str I get, but 21 con is pretty sub-par for a giant. Balance again? (same as above)

I believe mildly outdated help file due to recent empowerment freedom, but I could be wrong.

Not a coder, but my understanding was wisdom is the prime stat, so - h-breed or azure. > >3) Half-Elf/Drow/Human paladins: Would it make sense to be >able to select your prime stat with the addition of monks and >champions, I could see selecting wisdom or dex as a prime stat >instead of strength... Sure? Though at this point given such variety, I'd be more tempted just to let any human or h-breed select whatever prime stat they wanted and call it good.

Sweet?

Probably.

Definitely this. They have some of the best resists in the game, no vulns, and a handy inherent. Lots of this compensates the stats game. >

My understanding is that the things that affect dodge affect it, so carrying capacity might, depending on what you are carrying, outweigh an extra point of wis.

I'd leave it restricted to warriors.

Plus you are less likely to need to top up your con as you get to hero. ;)

Outdated in what way? It still requires empowerment to get anything beyond the first two (knife and spear). Was that an oversight, or by design?

Azure is 22wis. h-breed and elf are 21.
Also thanks.

Design, not oversight. Monks still have an obscenely high base power level without getting the free vuln exploiting transcend stuff without empowerment.
