62629, Contests, Battles, and Quests..Oh My...
Posted by Emnon on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I'll be running an assortment of things in the future
that will involve players and add a spark hopefully to
your CF experience. What are some things you may like
to see in the future or be done that you will enjoy
taking part in?

I will consider all ideas if they are reasonable.

The Unspoken One.

Posted by Gorach on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I've been about for quite some time, unfortunately my playing times diminished over the years, and I seem to only be able to log on during 'downtime' periods mostly. That being said, from back in the days, what I enjoyed most was:

- Random interactions 'out of the blue' (but you seem to be doing that, so cool, I've had 2000-gold-interactions and 150-hour-stacked-plague interactions, and both were equally cool), both from Imms, and from imm controlled mobs.
- Shorter, one-two hour quests around Thera (around a theme, like there have been in the past for instance a myrdrraal/trolloc attack on Galadon, or that pirate quest that involved the kidnapping of a PC and with several hellhounds involved - this theme can be good/evil; cabal related, just some random event involving all; it can be focused on fighting, running around and solving a small puzzle; quests doable by all no matter what rank, or a group of lvl51s was needed). There's probably tons of ideas in that area. You could have Darsylon swarmed by a skeleton attack, the High Lord sending out his ambassadors to the surround lands to conquer, goblins in Silverwood forest going berserk, a feanwyn green dragon attack on Galadon, a scarab revenant war on all cabals, a quest with several hidden objects around the world, some speed contest where you have to gather a certain amount of automatically-given-things-upon-entering-a-room like a bowl of gruel from Akan Castle, gathering a specific set of clothes for the beggars in Voralia (an evil set, a neutral set and a good set), etc. (Nothing all too new here, but they are still always cool to participate in). You could have shorter imm-run quests to introduce more players to certain less known automated quests, (like some of the more 'hidden' quests in Hamsah - by participating in a quest like that I learned about the Azuremain quest, for instance), shrine locations, history of an area, etc etc. I liked quests that introduced new areas.
- Longer, one-week, two-week quests; some of those that happenend in the past took too long though; and people lose their drive and interest in it (I remember the quest involving all the 'special' dragon items had to be gathered, and the guy just literally always logged in, prayed, and logged off after some time because he didn't want to risk losing the items in a crash when he dropped them somewhere, but on the other hand he was also constantly progged by what-ever, because he had all of them in his inventory). I agree with the tailed star event taking too long. The cadence of the whole story is too .. irregular? One of the very fine examples here was when I played Gorach, and there was some evil being that impersonated an Ice dragon that wanted to create a good-people-turned-evil army; it took about 2-3 weeks, and involved pretty much all good-aligned PC's of that time. (I believe the end of the story was the introducion of the Warlock Cabal?)
62682, a few quest ideas
Posted by crsweeney on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Idea for longer quest:
Similar to what WoW did with opening portals to content:

The Empire's armies need your support! Gold is always needed but beyond this we need the following:

XXX number of items containing such and such an effect must be donated to the cause.
(A/b/s, heal, cure for X effect, resistance to such and such)
The death of X of Y cabal
An anti paladin's weapon containing 50 charges.
Tiamat's five color mail
The orb of the order lords
(etc.)

Each cabal to be given their own long list of requirements, with progress shown to the entire mud via cabalwars or such. Even if this was just an Empire vs Fort or Outlander, for a single area to either reflect a more imperial design or be purged of evil for a a year, something we could do that resulted in changes to the areas of the game (even if just the flavor).

Quicker version. The first group of players to acquire items placed in the following locations: Boss of area A, Boss of Area B, hidden item X in zone y, and of course 500 gold will be allowed the right to battle and the Hydra, which has unique reward for completion.

Puzzles:

Encrypted messages
I've just written a role for my character with an encryption scheme in it, that can be done inside CF pretty easily. (i've got a lot of time on my hands right now as I'm on paternity leave for the birth of our first child.) Something like this could be expanded upon. Run a quest in which scrolls are showing up randomly with this cipher text on it. Inhabit a scholar mob that would give hints to players if they get stuck or if they pay him with gold, etc. To keep the quest moving.
The words if deciphered could have some short term in game advantage, like allowing players to use the Spire teleport system between cities or such. Where people would want that advantage, even if it gets spread by word of mouth after being deciphered.

CF specific riddles on newbie channel
This was fun when Twist did his history of himself questions. Generate some CF specific riddles, that require in game knowledge, the answers to which would possible provoke people to want to go and find that place or item.

Eg,
This is the lowest level item too powerful for a container which adds 25 to health?
You can't see anything! and you are fighting a vampire, where are you?

62666, Some ideas
Posted by Sertius on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
1) More tactical free-for-all, with deathblows and preps disabled, but with much lower damage. I.E. the usual hero MANGLE becomes an injure. Basically give everyone ABS and see who wins the long-winded cage match and how. All other preps should be disallowed. Resist, Deathblow and Critical are very unbalanced in that world and thus should be disallowed. Arguable about poultice and field dressing. Since no one uses other preps, ragers don't get to use theirs. Probably need to nerf healing in that fight as well.

2) Grouping-prohibited cage match. Basically, you're free to hit anyone, but can't group with anyone. Also can't prep anyone else (invoker shields, bard songs, etc, should only affect you, the caster.)

3) Midranked cage match. Usually they are reserved for heroes, but midranked also want to have fun I suppose. Don't know what to about deathblow there though. Might be fine, but probably not.

4) Global quests that involve solving puzzles and fighting mobs that might have gobs of HP and special attacks, but that deal damage according to your level. For example, you're level 20 and find the Ultimate Hydra of Doom and begin to fight it. Normally in those situations, it breathes an UNSPEAK and you're done. However, if the damage scales to your level, you might eat a DISMEMBER or something like that. If, however, three heroes show up, then it breathes that UNSPEAK on them. Might be more feasible to have the Hydra invoke the Honorable Duel when you hit it so that you two can duke it out in a level-appropriate battle as opposed to a mix of levels wailing on one mob. (Each character who gets to the place where the mob is gets his own version of it to fight.)

P.S. Don't pay any heed to Murphy, 99% of us enjoy immteraction and I know I'd stop playing if it didn't exist.
62654, RE: Contests, Battles, and Quests..Oh My...
Posted by lasentia on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I think most players enjoy the battle royale as it can pose a lot of unique fights people don't get to engage in otherwise. However, PK for the sake of PK alone isn't always enough to draw people in.

I think quests might be fun as they related to an area, maybe one of the lesser visited ones. So for example, Sulwine leads a siege against Fahlugash. A second Imm leading the orc side, might be fun, though probably more complex. Or a battle in Mortorn between Ludan and Grazzaar or something. Where people get to sort of participate in a battle related to the lore of an area. There are lots of interesting stories in Thera, giving PCs a chance to engage themselves into them might be fun. Even an escort quest might be fun.

I also think any quest event that leads to any lasting mark on Thera is sure to get people involved. Even if it is something as small as a name etched into a cave wall or something. Maybe I'm wrong, but achieving any sort of permanent mark on Thera is a chance most characters would jump at.

62656, Favorite questy stuff I was involved with is still...
Posted by TMNS on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
...when me and some Blade kept all the Outlanders/Maran/etc off one of the Consortium (think it was Ssriel) when they built the "road" to the Sea of Despair from South Dairein.

It's just cool running by rooms that "exist", technically, because of something a character of yours did.

PS Obv the Ghrim stuff was better for RP and stuff, but I never finished the quest :(
62645, encouraging cabal wars for the weaker side
Posted by Dallevian on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
i always like it when an imm/mob encourages and rewards the underdogs to go do something big.

like, if battle has 5 heros on and they've got the unholy icon and jeede's sitting there wondering 'do i log off or try to slit some throats ', i love when there's encouraging to go out and risk doing something cool and/or big. either get the item or pick off someone in the process.
62649, RE: encouraging cabal wars for the weaker side
Posted by Jormyr on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
That's actually something I've been trying to do, myself. Sadly, my 3am hours means this pretty much amounted to my raiding every cabal as an NPC, then becoming the...uh...overdog?...and then forcing myself to retrieve from myself.

It's all very complicated, and may involve whiskey at those hours.
62650, 3AM what time zone?
Posted by Homard on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I can get down with this.
62639, First, good job, you do lots of things for the Empire and others.
Posted by mharlndarn on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Second: I would like to see more global quests that can really shape the current world, not just cosmetic things. I know, its hard to do without coders, imps but still. Not just - gather me some #### and I will pump your pumpchar. Something that will involve politics and such, betraying - etc.
62644, Man, the thing is in the air
Posted by Kstatida on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Roll a hero imperial character, you'll feel it soon enough. Don't you see? Zalgordrax, Abelmon? It's certainly going somewhere.
62633, My suggestion is lasting events
Posted by Kstatida on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Like an event that goes for 24 hours (even if limited supervision). So far EST primetime events are largely unavailable for europe/asia, and we want to be part of it too, right?
62663, I work weird hours
Posted by Onewingedangel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
So I like this suggestion. Work during prime time playing hours, so lasting events sounds good to me.
62631, My suggestion is you stop griefing the playerbase.
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Quite reasonable.
Right?

Just tone down your messing with mortals. It kills any desire to play when an imm comes down to bully you around, repeatedly, with all the little petty things like the plague, slaying of pets, intimidation, smites out of the blue. If you're bored it doesn't mean you can step in to other players having fun and ruin it.
62632, Hey stop it
Posted by Kstatida on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
From what I see, Emnon is that type of immortal. He is actively messing in with mortal affairs. And it's AWESOME. Just imagine you're in Ancient Greece and gods are coming down doing their stuff. It's not that he smites you mid-PK, right?

So far currently Emnon due to his devil-like role in the realms is the only immortal who provides a lot of immteraction to players who aren't used to (for different reasons, like language barrier or pride or being shy or whatever) actively requesting immteraction from imms.

The guy approaches people out of the blue tempting them with powers, and gives those powers if requirements are met (with the obvious subsequent cost of course).

And I'll state it again, it's GREATLY appreciated.

If you have problems with that, note him, I'm sure he'll leave you out of his plans.
62635, Haven't noticed him doing any of that.
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Pretty much all he does is "I am awesome and powerful, and you are all miserable useless fleshlings, I will continue coming and mocking you because I have nothing better to do." And if you try to talk to him or ask him something, all he does is "shut up, you are so beneath me".

I would like to visit a Herald holiday or event WITHOUT some asshole coming and plaguing everybody. He ruined it and offered NOTHING in exchange.

He doesn't even give immxp for trying to put up with that ####.

62636, Then the event you suggest would be
Posted by Kstatida on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Siege and raizing of Emnon's shrine! Scheduled on 8th of March, International Women's Day!

P.S. Because complaint sounded PMSish, yeah :)
62638, He asked for feedback. I gave feedback.
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I wasn't saying "stop playing your evil role". I said I don't like the approach. It's one step short of direct involvement. Like a level 51 healer following lowbies everywhere and healing/sancing everyone they fight.

Besides, if you are trying to tempt people with power -- you don't tell them to #### off when they talk to you.
62637, I can even tell you why
Posted by Kstatida on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Because it's Emnon, not Raltevio. The character's appearance anywhere will lead only to one thing - death and destruction. With Immexp awarded for such.
62640, I think its time to chime in on this hijacking...
Posted by Emnon on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
With this response, you backed up my initial assumption in regards
to your previous post which has NOTHING to do with my three topics
that I asked about. I asked feedback on those specific topics. Now
I can pinpoint directly back to which skewed details your
referring to. Not that I NEED to address it, but since you decided
to hijack this topic with your disgruntled remarks, I'll stoop
down to that level briefly.

"Is Mr. Emnon a griefer?"

Absolutely not...He is actually very active in rewarding the players
and does spur of the moment immteraction in anyway he can.

"Does Mr Emnon give out immxp and why haven't I got any?"

Yes Emnon gives out A LOT of immxp! Sometimes too much and even
gets scolded for it. Hi Dest! You haven't got any you say?
Don't worry...You will and you will have fun, unless you did
something ill-mannered.

"But Mr. Emnon, you plagued me, isn't that being a griefer?"

Most hazardous materials come with a warning label or atleast
a MSDS sheet. The Unspoken One has the same warning too, if
you can't put two and two together, you will most likely have
stacked plagues.

"Mr. Emnon, you spread a plague in the inn and people were
catching it, but why?"

Someone was obviously disrespectful, and caused a positive
thing to turn into a negative thing. Plague in the inn?
Lets roleplay this situation out. I bet I might get cool
points and rewarded for it.

"Mr. Emnon, I hear you are smiting everyone you interact with?"

Actually. I have only used smite twice. Each time, there was
an excessive degree of disrespect. When someone has been
particularly ill-mannered, telling a god, "Don't you have
something better to do?" Expect a smite.

"Mr. Emnon..Are you a prick?"

Nope. I enjoy giving back to the players. And will continue
doing so. It makes me happy.

"Mr. Emnon what happens next?"

I'm pretty sure you will be a corpse soon. You look very pale
and sickly from all those plagues.

The Unspoken One
62641, Here's feedback on the topic you asked.
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
If you have time to run quests (as opposed to just coming down to #### with random mortals), please wrap up the ongoing tailed star quest that has seen no movement at all in two months.

The comet has been in the sky for a RL year, and I feel I have played half a dozen characters expecting that quest to finish anytime soon, but it never did.

As for your imm persona... what's the point of imposing your interactions on mortals, only to tell them to mind their own business when they try to play along and speak with you?

People not being respectful enough? What I've seen was polite, with the exception of one character. You punished everyone.
62642, Man, cut it out
Posted by Kstatida on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Emnon is super cool. And giving a cool imm #### feedback turns imms away from doing things they do (see Umiron's change of attitude during the last half a year).

Or at least do it in e-mails so that you can get the details without this public bitchfest.

P.S. Great problem with the mortal immteraction is that mortals don't read immortal helpfiles well enough and they don't reflect on immortal comments in PBF. Immortals should be treated as IC characters. What do you expect if you tell something to an ancient super-evil mummy who perceives EVERYONE as its slaves? Blank stare at best. And well, CF imms do the best RP there is available, so expect to be eaten alive.
62646, That's exactly what I'm asking.
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
That he stops doing what he does. Stop griefing the playerbase. Public attention is good because we're speaking of an IMM doing it.

That said, I will hold speaking about it any more until all the relevant characters have been deleted.
62647, Here...

This seems more your speed.

http://www.hellokittyonline.com/

62648, I think you're misunderstanding.
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I'm all for conflict and bloodshed and whatnot. If you don't like someone's behavior in-game, PK them. If anyone bullies you, or talks #### to you, you can fight back.

...but you can't fight back against an Imm. So it's essentially just griefing.
62657, You couldn't be any more wrong
Posted by Torak on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
But never really expect much from reading your posts anyways.

Emnon is flat out amazing and a boon to the current immbase by far. The fact that an evil mummy god "ruined your herald event with plague" than more power to him. If you cannot actually fathom why an evil god might do that and you can't roleplay around the fact that "I can't fight back or tell him to #### off without getting in trouble".... then just try another game.

It's an evil god - get used to it. You've never ran into Sacer or Cyradia or any other countless Immortals that messed with players have you? Were you even around when Pico would give you garble for -1 hours? How about Drokalantym's -1 insanity effect?

You know nothing Jon Murph Snow and get bent. Emnon rocks.
62658, I understand what it is, but answer me one question
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Why isn't he PKing random goodies then? I mean, it makes sense IC, right? An evil mummy god wants them all dead, right?

The answer is: it would make the game unplayable and hard to enjoy.
Same here, only he hasn't yet upped his griefing to THAT level.
62659, What?
Posted by Onewingedangel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I think this is the whole evil=griefing thing. Which isn't true. It's just a plague. I mean Jesus christ. You're acting like he's running around spamming slay. It adds flavor. It would be a different story if he was going about plaguing people as they fight. THAT'S griefing.

Also, as per the pro thing. I'm not understanding where that vibe came from. Having interacted with him over Soelela's life, I never once got that vibe.
62661, Going out of your way to mess with ppl
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I've "interacted" with him too, and I've never heard anything but "know your place", "don't speak to me, fleshling", "you will do what I say, or I will come and plague you daily".

I agree it is not easy to play evil without being a ####, and Emnon FAILS at not being a ####.
62664, Pretty sure you're the only one being a ####.
Posted by Lhydia on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
He asked for constructive feedback and you gave your two ####hole cents. You should have just left it there, but instead you're doubling down on being a cunt. Don't interact with him if you don't like him. Stop using your glass shard dildo otherwise, your bloody BM's are ruining this post.
62665, As long as you argue, I will defend my opinion.
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
And I would LIKE to stop interacting with him if I COULD.
62667, Here's something to consider...
Posted by Homard on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Literally any character, no matter how beloved, if judged on a single interaction could be seen as an irredeemable ####.

I'm going to say that I think that Jawn Foote was probably my most beloved character, yet I'm certain there are people out there who didn't like him for some thing or another that I did to them.

Unless you have multiple instances of Emnon going out of his way to ruin the funstick, you might have to consider that your own experience my not be in keeping with what the rest of us are getting from him.

I've never had a reason to feel any way but abject loathing for him IC with a couple of characters, but from my POV he is awesome.

62668, Far as I noticed
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Emnon specifically targets the Inn and whoever hangs out there. Which tends to piss me off no matter what I play. And it is multiple instances, yes.

By now I just wish a Herald Imm would come and KICK HIS ASS.
62669, This is why we need player voting in-game
Posted by Torak on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
And one character per account so we could single you out :P

This is why we can't have nice things, stop screwing it up for everyone else because you're butt hurt over being plagued.
62670, How am I screwing anything up for anyone?
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I'm just speaking out about something I don't like.
And we can't have nice things ever since the edgepoint nerf anyway.
62671, Right now, you're ruining an imm's gaming experience
Posted by Kstatida on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
By being a selfish mouthy crybaby. Don't pretend that your complains have no effect on immortal's mood, they have, and the effect is devastating. I've seen MUDs being turned off because the implementor was badmouthed by an underage ###hole. Don't become one.
62680, Yes I am selfish.
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
It's natural for humans to be selfish. What about MY gaming experience? Why is it less important than Emnon's?

And don't tell me about what you've seen. I quit working on my mud several times because of ####storms about something insignificant (to me). But eventually I learned to care about player experience and then it was better. I only wish I learned it earlier.

EDIT: anyway, don't see anything good coming out of further discussion. You're not going to change my opinion, but I'm going to try very hard to shut up about it and just hope things get better.
62672, You are the loudest and most numerous responder to this thread.
Posted by Lhydia on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
The question asked by the initial comment was 'Hey guys, what can I do to make the game better and what sort of events are you as a player base interested in?'

Your response was 'Go #### yourself and #### your events you plaguing ####, WE DONT LIKE YOU.'

So pretty much with you being the loud angry voice you are the focus of the response for most people that read the thread.

In theory if you piss Emnon off he could just say #### it and stop trying and that'd be you screwing up quests for everyone else.

I'm sorry you're upset about edge point changes but this has nothing to do with that.

If you're truly this off balance mentally about game issues and CF in general you should take a break. You sound like a crazy person.
62676, Sorry, I can't help not liking his roleplay.
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I made a reasonable request. Tone down messing with mortals negatively, especially in the Inn.

It would be easy enough to take heed and apologize, even for an Imm, but instead he and you all are pretending the problem doesn't exist.
62677, How many times did it happen? n/t

Emnon should not have to tone anything down.

Don't want to interact with him? Don't. Dont send him tells, greet him on CB or stay in the room when he arrives. Just pretend he doesnt exist.

No, you cant hang out at market square with him.

It's a more reasonable request that you avoid interacting with any imms if you don't like their rp than they just avoid interacting with anyone. Not all imms are elves and storm giants, there is evil in this mud.

I have never, ever seen an immortal force an interaction down somebodies throat that was set on not interacting. They don't want to waste their time if it isn't going to go to good use.

You can't blame him for not finishing something he is not in charge of. Obviously I don't know who is behind it. But you are assuming get he has complete control over that one, when we can't know. I think you might need to take a break for a bit and calm down.
62662, Not blaming, just suggesting he take over
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Since he says he's got time to run quests.
No sense to muddy the waters with another global scope quest when there's one ongoing, and stalled. Right?
62651, This is not my experience at all with him
Posted by Onewingedangel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I got plagued once because he plagued someone else in market square. Soelela was level 4...that #### hurt. But I didn't bitch about it, I RP'd through it...and got imm xp. He does the greedy undead God well, in my opinion. And honestly, I much prefer how he does the random interaction. I've never been a real fan of seeking out the shrine any time I want to talk to an imm. It gives the feel of "oh hey,he is an omniscient GOD. Watching at all times". IF of course, we know they are regular people with real lives. I mean hell...remember Eshval plaguing people just for looking at her? It's not on that level, now is it?

in the sense that he roleplays AT people instead of roleplaying WITH people. Other than occasionally getting pissy, he doesn't actually interact. Instead he just ruins the opportunity for a fun RP / talk that was there until he arrived.

Forcing your RP on others is never fun, ESPECIALLY by an Imm.

And not that I'm not going to handle this crap IC, but I'm yet to see any immxp for putting up with it.

Emnon: I would like feedback
Murphy: Here's negative feedback
Everyone else: Calls Murphy names
Murphy: Responds calmly and rationally
Everyone else: OMG Murphy just SHUT UP

If you'd all stop white knighting for Emnon with nonsense hysterics, Murphy wouldn't have to keep saying 'well actually'.

I'm sure Emnon's a big boy and isn't having his game ruined because one person doesn't like him.

I mean there's irony here isn't there? You're all like 'toughen up Murphy, it's just a plague. Well.. toughen up, everyone else, it's just an opinion?
62679, Best post in the thread right here, nice job. nt

62684, Best part? People like Torak and Orb being mad at Murphy.

Since they've done the same thing in the past.

I mean, FFS, if this was a thread about RayBaer Orb would have to gag his web browser or he'd lose his ####.

LOL.
62686, Because nobody agrees with him.

Murphy doesn't speak for all of us. Clearly, he doesn't even speak for anything but a small minority of himself based on the responses.

Nobody else wants Emnon to stop doing his thing. More interaction is welcomed. If you don't want to interact with an evil imm either leave the room when he arrives or don't interact with him. I doubt he forces his interactions on anyone. He plagued me as Revax too, one time, and I was the high priest. Did it annoy me? Not really, comes with the cards. You know what I did? I stayed away from him after that. I just left the room when he arrived. He never ####ed with me again, and I accepted that being a priest I wasn't going to be able to be involved on the good side of any Emnon interactions, because of RP.

Murphy bitching and telling Emnon hes ruining everyones fun is an asshat thing to do, because he doesn't speak for anyone but himself.

Why should we all have to suffer and have less interaction because he's a baby and can't either keep his mouth shut or keep to himself when a roleplay situation comes up he doesn't agree with.
62688, Yes, I can walk away.

Except when I am in the middle of something there when he barges in and starts looking for praise, and when he doesn't get it...

And not everybody's RP permits them to just walk away.

...####. I said I won't speak again.
Good day to you.
62630, I have three favorite quest memories.

The first one is foggy to me because it was so long ago. I think it had to do with an age ending and the horn of fate, anyhow it was an event so big that all the cabals banded together for the greater good to save the world. Yes, even ragers worked alongside mages (with a lot of bitching about having to do so lol). It was a lot of fun and sent people all over on a gathering quest from hard mobs.

The second one is known to a few more. It was during the time of the warlock cabal, and an imm controlled mob, "The Ice Drake" was having goodies run quests and causing this huge global thing. The Ice Drake turned out to be the Anti-Life in disguise, ending up in this massive showdown with tons of heroes fighting the Anti-Life and each other on the western aryth.

The last one was when Minalcar went all ape####. An imm brought up the mob Asmodeus from hell (after purging its crazy armor of course), and rained hell on the village with Minalcar. Then the masters showed up and started ####ing up the ragers with Asmodeus, it was crazy watching the village get razed like that.

All of those quest had a lot of serious thought and buildup, as well as a lot of moving parts. But they included everyone, and culminated in an insane peak that was loved by pretty much everyone involved. I think the thought put into them played a big part of them over the few weeks it took.

FWIW the villager quest where sam got leader of battle at like level 11 or something was a LOT of fun too. Lots of thought put in, made it really come to life.

I got confidence youll do something fun. Just give it your best.
