Yesterday I went to sleep, then woke up after an hour and got this message but I didn't see any dream before that. Did I ruin it? And are dreams generic or specific to a character? Thanks!

This small room is unnaturally quiet. The smooth gray stones of the floor,
walls, and ceiling are illuminated by an unwavering white light. Two narrow
beds, one atop the other, dominate one wall, set firmly into the corners. A
small desk and wardrobe have been packed into the remaining space. Every inch
is completely sterile and the air is uncomfortably pure. A door is set into
the west wall.

They tend to be specific to a certain character. What can happen sometimes is that you woke up before the actual dream sequence began (especially if it was only for a single tick).

Just as some food for thought, if you ever see that message when you wake up, I would suggest trying to get back to sleep asap. If it doesn't pick back up again in short order, pray so that whomever is trying to send you the dream realizes that it wasn't finished.
