Heres a cut from a log I have with a lion, and it only seems to be affected by feline forms. just wondering if Its not set up right to spin away claws.

My question is, when I can spin rams charges why can I not spin more of the lions claws?
thanks.

Note that the lion's rake is unblockable. The rest of the attacks you have your chance against.

5974, Honestly from a gamplay sense, why is this?

Why do players spend 100's of hours perfecting defenses and not get hit by any normal attacks only to be hit by 'unblockable' ones.
|
5975, Uhh, because they don't want you spending hundreds of hours mastering junk?

By the same token, that spear/staff spec can't 'spin' away from a pincer, cranial, bash, trip or any other command input by the user. Consider 'rake' to be on par with 'pincer'.

5999, Thats just it though.

If they are dodging these axes 99/100 times, why does slamming them together make it so much harder to avoid?

Game balance. Pretty much as simple as that, suspend disbelief.

5983, I agree with Vlad and Pen's responses. :p

What Im saying is that, if a ram's charge is considered a weapon that warriors know, then why aren't claws considered hand to hand? Just a bit confused on how this is balanced. I would think you either know them or you don't.

You can parry a lion's (or any form's) normal attacks. Special maneuvers (a lion's rake, a ram's butting, a warrior bashing you) cannot be parried. I don't see any of that changing.

I know I didn't say that that was true.

but you didn't say it wasn't either. Im not talking about rake. Im talking about round for round attacks. A ram will get maybe 1 in when I wield a spear, yet the lion avg 2-3 a round. Just a bit discouraging is all. Sorry for the confusion.
