57170, Ethos change
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I like to roll a char without a cabal in mind, then pick depending on his life events. Historically, orderly evil or neutral evil worked best for such a character (3 cabal options for each, not counting battle and herald).
Would I still have them if I rolled chaotic evil, or would the bloodoath gimp a chaotic character by making him a betrayer?
EDIT: Ok, I should have done a simple search. Apparently there's no such problem.

I can't remember the EXACT details of it, but I know at one point or another there was a chaotic guy (I think sphere chaos as well) who took the oath and ended up as a betrayer because of it. So just to be on the safe side, make sure you don't take a sphere like chaos which you cannot pick with an orderly ethos.

If I remember correctly, an ethos change has minimal effects on a character *unless* they are a priest. If a priest has an ethos change, they more or less have to get re-approved in some manner by their Immortal, so that might be what Destuvius is thinking of.
If I find where that got posted, I'll add it on, but that's what I remember.
