57151, Question about something I saw on the bugboard
Posted by TJHuron on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Someone posted about hero paladin's summoning zombies and killing them. How does a necro prevent this from happening?
Just leave the area? And hope they don't give chase?
And if they've already summoned one you pretty much just chalk it up to a lost zombie?
I've never played a necro so some of this might seem obvious to others but I have it in my mind that zombies don't travel when the necro teleports/words. Is that correct or is it just the ones that aren't in the same room?
I can see situations where several zombies get summoned before the necro gets out of the area, especially if they can't teleport/word them away.
Conversely, can lower level characters summon zombies from a necro that's higher level and out of range? Is this more difficult to do besides just being harder for the lower level character to kill?
Is there any edges a necro can take to combat this? If not should there be?

Leave zombies in a place they can't be summoned from and recall.
Use group teleport talisman.
Some transformed necros can make their undead hide.
Best way is for the Necro to kill some zombie mobs.
