57093, Questions re: empowerment

I've been playing for almost 20 years now, and I'm probably the worst of the lot when it comes to building a role, creating a character, rping my best, then... getting bored and deleting. Now I've got what I think is a great idea for a character, but I'm hesitant to do all of the upfront work since my last several characters have just sputtered out.

-Does past behavior such as this impact chances of empowerment, or is each character viewed on its own merits? I know the interactions take time and I've often wondered if some Imms look at the history of the player and consider them a waste of time. I'm asking because there are several Imms that I've had great luck with finding and getting empowered and there are others that I've tried to follow, but never heard from them.

-Do Imms (or even some of them) consider the custom empowerment options to be a pain in the ass?

Thanks.

Hey there, I'll do my best to answer your questions:

1) I go out of my way to make sure that I judge characters only on THAT particular character's merit. Every character that I meet for the first time is just like meeting a person for the first time.

2) That really all depends on the role. I don't mind doing custom empowerments at all. The thing is, the role really has to grab me and give me something to go on for interactions.

Hope that helps!
