Couple things about the fact this race is part-celestial.

Will orcs with the demon in the woodpile edge autoattack them?

Will aura of despair give any damage reduction against them?

1 - Yes
2 - Not currently though it's a smart idea. Might be changed in the future.
56163, Quest results summary?
Posted by Too busy, dangit on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM

I was busy and could not be around for the quest.

I see the helpfile for this new race, which is interesting. And saw Andira dead. If anyone has a chance for a cliff notes version of what happened, that would be much appreciated.

The echoes being cut off on Twitter makes it hard to follow along with this sort of thing. Ideally would get a little more specific details than that even if possible, since it's not always easy to ask about these things IC.

Was the new race the primary result or were there other implications (for Scion, etc.)?
56167, Summary

The Nightwalkers have been getting increasingly annoyed that their power source has been disabled/siphoned away. They built up enough power on their side to express this dissatisfaction to Thera and requested one of the Scions make a blood sacrifice to open a portal. They then flooded Thera like locusts, chomping on everyone in their way. Various factions attempted to make a stand against them but were pushed back and had to face the attack on their own home terrain. The Fortress made a defense at the Watcher but was faltering. Andira, for several centuries, had been cultivating a small rift between Thera and the Azure Fields. It's been a stable anchor that she's used to conjure for quite some time but she decided to destabilize it and widen it quickly to bring forth a celestial host that would face off against the Nightwalkers. This worked to a point but nothing was closing the portal to the Shadow Plane and so she basically balled up her portal and shoved it in the evil one to plug it. This worked but the backlash of power from it consumed her and created an unstable thread of magic from the Azure Fields that leads to the background outlined in Help Azure-Touched.

The end!

Is it safe to assume that the Village of Battle would hunt these Azure down seeing as the circumstances of their continued existance upon Thera depends directly on magic?

Per your summary:

This worked but the backlash of power from it consumed her and created an >unstable thread of magic< from the Azure Fields that leads to the background outlined in Help Azure-Touched.

It's a new race. I say react to it as your character would. No reason to jam everything straight into the cookie cut. Give it some natural evolution for a while.

It's been a long time since I've played a BATTLE character, but I've been around the BATTLE block a few times.

BATTLE doesn't fight magic. They fight mortal wielders of magic in Thera. They want to strengthen the veil purely because it has the potential to cut mortals off from magic all together. They don't have any beef with extraplanar beings. In particular, their entire philosophy is rooted in respect for a particular set of extra-planar beings of immense power.

I don't think that's safe to assume.

I mean, felar are created by mages and there have been a crapton of felar Battle.
