I'm assuming it's dex but so many skills that I thought were dex turned out to be str.

Might be both. I had an elf that could bat twice between each round for around lowercase devastates.

It seemed to me that storms maybe hit less but lagged more, but I think the skill got tweaked perhaps since then.

I had a few Storm Champions, only one that went all the way to hero and I can tell you that I've seen blue moons more often than bats to the head.

The helpfile says, "This strike can be executed slightly more quickly by champions who are quick, wise, and skilled in the technique."

Smart and Quick is best... So what type of Paladin does a Storm giant excel at? Standard stick and board? Who knows...

I didn't notice a huge variety in damage. I did however knock a helmet off someone once defending a raid. Wish I logged that. I suspect there's a fair amount more to that skill than meets the eye. Even if it gets tonned down its super useful.
