54970, Incarnadine wave: Bug or misinfo?
Posted by TJHuron on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Dio's Diku-Wiki says that when an this fires with an incarnadine mace wielder it is -dex
Dropping down, Billy Badass lands a vicious strike with a long elvish mace to your legs!
I've managed to find a couple logs from the victim's POV and this seems to be the affect:
Skill: 'incarnadine wave' modifies constitution by 0 for 4 hours.
Is this misinfo on the Diku-Wiki and incarnadine mace has no -dex component or a bug? If it is misinfo, why "0" constitution? It looks like it isn't even doing anything. It doesn't make sense that a leg shot would be - con either.
If this is a bug, I'll bug board it. I've found 2 separate logs like this so far.
If it is not a bug can someone please explain what is happening here?

That hit can impact constitution, but the amount can include zero. It has more important effects (on movement) that are 'carried' by that line.

54977, The Mystery of the Incarnadine Wave, a shortstory by TJHuron
Posted by TJHuron on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
All throughout Thera from the shadowy backrooms of smoky inns to the great guildhalls of Galadon one can hear tales of a mysterious and powerful warrior technique called the Incarnadine Wave. Historians speculate that this technique was lost to the ages until it was rediscovered by a band of monks sometime in the second or third age. It is said that while these monks themselves are mysterious, even they cannot fully explain the workings of this ominous and enigmatic technique.
Men and Women have speculated and debated over time on the intricacies of this esoteric legacy. Is it dexterity based? Does wisdom matter? What about weapon weights? What exactly does it do when executed with a mace? Yet, none have been able to fully comprehend the inner working of this technique and as a result false rumors and misinformation have spread forth only contributing to the vast mystery of this fighting art.
Many questions and inquiries have even been made to the divine beings who oversee Thera throughout time about its’ workings, but, no answers have been given.

Is it possible that even the mighty and wise Immortals of Thera do not understand the mystery that is the Incarnadine Wave? Perhaps we will never know. *Ominous DUH DUH DUH*
The End :)
