54883, Bedouin - mirage spell idea
Posted by Dallevian on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Bedouins lose a lot, notably snare and ambush.
What if they were given a level 40+ spell that turned a desert room into a magical mirage, making the room have all exits n/e/s/w/u/d available but some lead back into the same room and the other good exits randomize each tick? And as a bonus, each wrong direction takes -mv away.
10 ticks to recast and the mirage might last for 24 ticks, allow up to three rooms to eventually be 'miraged'.
The bedouin can see through it and isn't affected.

54888, I think a little bit of a change and it might work.

If it was a spell cast on another player that makes them possibly walk in the wrong direction if the room they are talking into is desert and they are in a desert room already. This would not add directions to the room that do not exist already.
However, if they are walking into a non-desert room they are not affected.
I think the prog rate should be low but enough to definitely mess someone up who is just running through a lot of desert. Something between 10% and 20% chance maybe.
