Any chance this pass's movement rates could be knocked down just a touch? Considering it's ~30 rooms of mountain movement (12mv a room), and that it's the most-used path into and out of an area which consists of one hometown, a relatively low-level area, and two more that are generally used by characters levels 20-30.
Admittedly, it may be the area author's design to force younger characters to have to sleep a few times through this massive mountainous pass, but I thought I would mention it, considering it's one of the longer sections of mountain I know of, and it seems to be really more of a trail sort of pass, rather than uncharter territory.

The terrain has been altered to give you a slightly easier time getting through the pass and is more in line with the original intent considering the room descriptions.

Actually, I think it was really not supposed to be as challenging as it is. There's a decent chance the terrains you're hoping for didn't exist when the area was put together, or nobody really questioned mountainous terrain in these particular mountains. I know I didn't and I put the <top secret stuff> in that area.
It's on my list and your feet should expect relief in the near future.

Heh I agree that pass needs in upwards of 400 mvs to get through and that is unpleasant even at hero.
