54223, Stat loss and mobs.

How much does stat loss actually effect a mob?

Will the -str really make it parry less?

Will -dex impact its dodging?

What else? And what generally doesn't do anything?

I have stacked more than 20 chill touches (counting only failed saves) on a mob that hit me for dismembers before the first chill touch and for dismembers after the 20th.

Strength is a component of damroll, but it's not a huge one.
54275, Much more likely to parry/not be parried though yea?

Since parry has a large strength component?

1) All stat checks, affects, equipment work normally for NPCs. A few functions here and there might take shortcuts for NPCs (just assign them some level-based competence instead of doing a full calculation), but most will treat them like PCs for stat purposes. The 'shortcut' is often invoked when it has to do with something that NPCs don't "do well".

(For example, you can't hand a pile of boats to an NPC to hose their Dodge. Conversely, NPCs don't get a huge bonus to Dodge because they're carrying only 7 pounds of gear.)

2) NPC base stats are usually a crude function of level. That is to say that a level 40 elf NPC and a level 40 fire giant NPC probably have the same (high) STR, INT, etc.
