53034, What is a class/character concept that you've played and had a ton of fun with?

Either because it was mechanically good, or more powerful then most people would think it would be at first glance, or just the fun of the character and the roleplay?
I haven't played in quite a while. I've been telling myself to roll up the past two weeks but haven't been able to commit to a concept. With the double exp on the way here, now's definitely the time, whether to rank up quickly or jump on ranking groups of three who're level 30 and rocking fine leather.
So what're the most fun characters that you've played?

A few that came to my mind.
- Super paranoid human warrior who thought the Seantryn Empress and royalty were behind every single weird thing going on in the game. He'd freak out if he was on that continent and would 'disguise' himself by dressing up as a girl. I kept a dress and other stuff around and anytime people wanted to rank in Organia they had to stop while I changed clothes in Arkham.
- Memento style short term memory loss. Remembers his past perfectly, remembers nobody else. (This is pretty limiting in terms of cabal choices)
- Any kind of paladin.
- Any kind of druid.

53056, Sphere Deception evil ranger in Sylvan

Sylvan didn't take evil, so I had to get a special imm induct. I stayed camoed and away from anyone with detect evil. I had a name that sounded "nature-y" and good (Arduil), and would offer people help (if they didn't have detect evil) by tanking trolls and stuff for them (but not grouping with them).
While we'd be killing the trolls, I'd camo and inform various evildudes in PK that the goodies were in the trolls/FoN/etc. and when they were injured and such.
It didn't go very far - CF isn't built for that kind of deception on any lasting basis. And I didn't want to be "that guy" that groups with someone then ambushes them when I've run them out of moves.
But yeah, he was a compulsive liar, and some of the stuff he made up was just ridiculous outrageous. So that was fun. :)
I don't know if it was the *most* fun char I've ever had. I've had lots of fun chars. But it was different!

Combine any of these with a fun quirky role that will FORCE you to RP in a way that your enemies and allies will both notice. (Note: This does not mean pick something where you RP "at" them, only something where some part of your hooks will be apparent in almost any interaction.)
Murderous lowbie fun (we're talking 20s and earlier):
1) Invoker
2) Air shifter
3) Necro (once a cliché, now pretty rare to see done well)
4) Low-combat-skills thief (like as in, your key PKing skills might be hide and steal)
5) Bard (only really fun if you're willing to try to kill groups of 3 by yourself.)
Midlevels or higher:
1) Nexus Assassin. With Vanguard you're pretty well equipped to stand up to Battle one on one, stealth and tiger claw are great tools to help recover your or someone else's cabal item, and you can sneak around picking off whoever's in power.
2) Angel or demon conjurer. (Alternately: svirf). All offense, low defense, go!
3) Human A-P (probably not Empire, just because I think this is more fun if you're less likely to get tied up in cabal raids a lot) that just doesn't care that much about losing unholies. You have a great skillset for dealing with almost anyone, and if you're a little less afraid of dying you really can kill a lot with it.

53057, Thanks, one of these stood out to me, I'll give it a try.

Also dropped you an email with a followup question on the concept.

The husband and I have a ton of fun spitballing roles or theory crafting builds. Usually we'll come up with something crazy and never get around to actually playing it. I am generally pk averse but I like to come up with builds around the idea that I *could* pk. So then I never play them. I think my favorite is along the lines of Battle scout binder thief ala Crocodile Hunter who narrates the movements and abilities of all the shifters in the game on CB in a funny IC way. "Crikey, look at the teeth on 'at mongoose!!" "Mates, beware thinkin' that this stink toad hopping down Eastern Road be of the common variety. 'E's got a powerful stench cloud around 'im 'at'll blind yer good." And of course binder thief so you can narrate on CB "There be a lion sleepin in the Grove, Mates. They got a blind spot a mile wide behind their left flank so I be sneakin up right behind him. Gotta get a rope around 'is muzzle just so's the bugger can't bite me arm off!" And the subsequent "I got 'im! Crikey, this bugger of a porcupine be riding me straight down Eastern Road! We got a feisty one here, lads!"
But if I tried to make that role work I'd be con dead in a week. So it's just a fun theory craft. :)
