52170, The Flee command and the code for it...Is there something in it that makesyou more likely to flee back te way you came?

About 15 years ago someone posted that it was in fact coded that way so that people had a hard time fleeing past guildguards. This of course was made moot by making it impossible to flee past guild guards.
I was wondering if that's true and if it is if that code lingers. Because it does seem to me that I flee back in the direction I came more than not.

Not true and never was, on CF.

Fleeing in reverse makes sense. If you are running north and run into something ugly and panic at the horror of it all, instinct sends you back the way you just came... You'll look for places to turn later. :)

It works like it is, and it works kinda logically, so what does it matter if old code remnants remain? A nice way of saying your question was as moot as not being able to flee past guildguards. Apparently though knowing this is very important to you and I misunderstood that. My apologies. Since I can't answer it, I'll just shuffle along now. Time for a big ol' scotch! :)
