I had it happen to a character a few months back and figured that now would be a good time to post something about it. Would it be ####ty Paladin RP to do so?

I had to explain to THREE different guys that a girl can't get pregnant from swallowing. I won't even get started on how terrible their literary skills were. So I do it just in case someone doesn't know even if it is 1 out of a 1000...or in my college 1 in 2.

As a paladin, this would be crummy RP, I think, as it would involve some combination of deception, dishonor, manipulation, lack of integrity, disregard for law, and break about 4 or 5 points of the Paladin Code. I say that as an imm who, if empowering a paladin, would favor a non-Tribunal paladin who breaks laws but was clear and honest and consistent in when and why, far more than Tribunal paladin that never technically broke laws but was scheming and under-handed about how they did their job. The latter is FAR more un-paladinly.

However (and this is just my opinion) for a good-aligned Tribunal of any other class, I think it would be acceptable if subtle and utilizing legal gray areas. If it becomes apparent to people that you're doing it, you're doing it wrong. It's probably more likely get an unspoken nod from imms if your good character does stuff like this selectively - to the guy you KNOW is a true chaotic evil bastard, and not to just anyone with a red aura so that you can get your share of the shinnies.
