47679, Is Dispel/Dispel Magic OP?
Posted by Warrior on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Most of the time the only preps warriors can reliably get to use against heavily-prepped mages are stoneskin and protection. And yet these can be stripped by mages in a round or two easily, regardless of the level of stoneskin/protection you use. (I used lvl51 stoneskins consistently, and they were almost always removed on the first dispel attempt)
In normal situations I know you can run and prep again and again. But what if you are in the middle of a raid where you often don't have the luxury to do such a thing?
On top of that, mages also get word of recall, aren't they a bit too risk-free and intimidating at the same time?
What are your thoughts on this?

47684, You're neglecting the two best preps in the game for warriors.

Warriors can choose specs that let them lag magi. They can take a legacy that lets them recall from combat. They can make a Mage use wands and keep withdrawing. Play both and see how people counter your tactics.

Nope.
In that case, what your prepping bought you (at a minimum) is a round the mage/shaman spends dispelling you instead of doing something that kills you.

If you're a warrior who can prep, then you also have word of recall.
