47238, Transmute question
Posted by TripHitNdip on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
When you transmute metal to wood, does the code recognize the change and register it now as light armor as far as the light armor skill is concerned or does it stay metal?
I know it's kind of an obscure question, was just curious if it's an easy answer or not.

It is recognized as wood, but that doesn't get used by any armor use skill I'm aware of.

47249, That depends. What kind? Wet or dry?

But as a serial ranger player, I do think at least they should be able to use wood armor with an armor skill. Really don't see the harm in making it that way across classes, but especially savages.

47252, Wet wood. Heh heh. Heh heh. You said 'wood'.

But yes, I think wood armor should either count as light armor, or have a wood armor skill added to rangers/druids, esp. savages. Poor savages, no wonder my one attempt wasn't getting #### for light armor echoes. I had on wood greaves, and wood bracers I think...
