46476, Bribe Mercenary
Posted by The Heretic on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Does this only work on purchased mercenaries? Special guards? Non-conjurer elementals? Any druid charmies? Enslaved...I don't know...enormous giants with polearms following an orc?

46490, Purchased that are "sentient" types only and it fails often.

and hardly anyone ever has mercs.
There is a reason it only costs 1 point....but thats one point too many.

46491, I agree with Pro, this skill is pretty horrible and non-functional and could use an upgrade.

Mercenaries are a thing of the past now that everyone IMM wise is so anti-looting. This skill was useful when mercenaries were useful. Now its a waste.

46477, Think about it

Dunno bout special guards, but orcs serve out of fear, elementals dont use money, druid charmies dont use money...

46485, Any knowledgeable answers out there?

Elementals/druid charmies are a stretch, that's obvious.
Orc slaves and guards are not, and I'm looking for someone with a more informed answer than just telling me to 'think about it' when they have no clue how it works. People make assumptions about game mechanics all the time and are wrong often.
Any imms or players who have had it willing to chime in?
