46235, Necromancer pet tedium

Is it possible the necromancer zombies not turn into dust after logout? Even with the Zombie lord edge, mastered reanimate and animate dead it takes one and half hour (at the minimum) to raise four zombies. Well I don't think everybody has that kind of time and some mundane RL issues come that forces you to logout and it's so tedious to raise that zombies again and again it becomes a chore.
As a newbie, I fail to see reasons why it not should be that way other than caballed lower level necromancers travelling with an army of storm giant zombies and I believe that can be mitigated by having some kind of level check at logout or some other mechanism.
In this state I get upset more for the loss of zombies than con lose when PKed believe me...

A good necromancer can have 3 zombies in under 20 minutes after logging in.
Many make the mistake of thinking they have to build a complete army to do anything. No, raise your golem, your greater undead, kill something, animate it, kill another, embalm it and either leave it stashed or have your minions pick it up. Then, get to work. Time it to where you have something to raise within a tick of your animate dead timer expiring.

Well, what you said is mathematically impossible, considering on average 40 second tick, raising 4 zombies takes 48 minutes with no failures and no downtimes and provided noone ever sees and disturbs you. Believe me even with 6 people online It didn't take less than one and half an hour.. So twenty minutes are just wishful thinking . I hope you see my point here...

You really don't _need_ zombies the way a conjurer needs his servitors. I'm certain that the time to build an army is considered a balancing point.

You are correct.

I thought it was an average of 30 seconds a tick?
Furthermore, to my knowledge, you can raise a zombie every 24-25 ticks.
Accordingly, a zombie every 12 minutes.
Thus, if you played it smart.
You log on, raise a zombie immediately through an embalmed corpse.
12 minutes mark = another zombie (btw, if you play it smart, you can embalm a zombie and raise it immediately).
12 minutes mark = 3rd zombie
12 minutes mark = 4th zombie.
Seems like 36 minutes.
No failures is the bigger concern. There are ways around that.
No downtime? If you play it smart, there shouldn't be any 'downtime'. Same with 'noone ever sees and disturbs you.'
At low level (25-30), you don't NEED a zombie to wreck your pk range. Sleep/crimson scourge.
30-36 - similar. This time, add two golems and a merc. Sleep/crimson scourge.
40+ - You should be strong enough with enough protection (until you reach 47) to just wreck your pk range without all 4 zombies. Even 2 zombies would do.
4 zombies are a luxury. 1-2 zombies is a necessity as you get to a higher level.
FYI - Necros are the harder classes, since it does require a decent game knowledge (where to get good mobs, area knowledge, etc.)

2 zombies + 1 embalmed. Plus a golem, greater undead, and a merc.
Where's the problem?
