I've always wondered what the logic was on giving a good mob, good-only equipment that is cursed (noremove).

If the mob does not trust you enough to remove curse them... how can someone who can acutally use that gear get it from the mob?

Something I'm missing?

Have you tried actually requesting it yet? I can think of two piece of gear that are like that off the top of my head, though I would think there are others.

One instance I think where it can not be is Lord Siig's shield in the mausoleum. I did kill the paladin once just to ID the shield, it's not anything that great, and it can not be uncursed. I had to suicide to get rid of it and then just leave it in my corpse. (this might have changed- been a couple years since I did this)

The other is a certain paladin with a cursed sword that can't be requested as well, but that is by design as you can see once you figure out what that mob is.

But things like Allasym's swords are noremove and can be requested, along with I'd say most other cursed good only gear.
