There is a limit to how much data can be used per month. so my question is this... how much data would I use in a month if CF were running 24/7?

44962, Good luck out there.

Feel free to mail me a free sample when harvest time comes!
If it is even called harvest...

I am ordering my hives this week but the nectar flow happened early because of the mild winter.
as a result I am only starting 10 hives and risking another year in the Reserves.
I would welcome some CF oriented ideas for a label. :)

Stupid mild winters. I'd help with the label if I wasn't such a bad artist. Maybe some form of image that shows a shapeshifter changing between a bee and a bear.

Things I hope you are doing out in the country other than CF:
1) Building a windmill generator for your power.
2a) Locating local sources of freshwater and securing access to them.
2b) Taking steps to improve your local watershed. If you have a creek on your land, you might build mini-dams (they have a technical name I can't remember) - to slow the creek down and force water to soak into the ground.
3) Pesticide and fertilizer free farming.
4) Stock-piling seeds.
5) Organizing guerilla raids against the industrial farms next door.

6) Setting up a way to lure nubile twenty-somethings on their way to spring-break into your torture/cannibal cabin.
7) Wearing a mask made of human skin.

I'm the creepy old dude in the begining that ends up popping up at a scary moment to lead the nubile 20 somethings down a secret passage to safety. Then I shoot my double barrel shotgun at something off camera, miss and die.

44968, Give it some time.

Eventually you'll be keeping your stuff in a cured hide sack made from the corpse of Britney or Chad.

I am working with my neighbors on a mutual defense/support pact.
I am really that paranoid.
I seriously have done all of that though.

Have them support you by stockpiling resources.
Then kill them when things look rough, but earlier than they will think to do it first.

to see your budget for this project.
As detailed as you like.
It sounds like you're using your benefits/retirement/accrued savings from the service - which is remarkably similar to my plan.

If you really want to know, you need to download a bandwidth monitoring tool (I have no idea what's out there for Windows) and let it run for an hour or so during a normal session.
From there just multiply out whatever your expected usage us whether it be 10 hours a week, 50, etc.
This is all very rough book and likely not helpful at all, but... Nreykre's life logged from level 11 to the point I heroimm'd (1/6/11 - 4/5/11) weighs in at around 230 megabytes of text, which is pretty representative of what's going over the wire on a MUD. So divided out, playing CF was the equivalent of downloading a fairly short, low quality mp3 every day.
tl;dr: Don't worry about it.
