44940, Verizon 4g

I use verizon 4g to get internet on a usb modem with my laptop. When i tryed to connect on my cell phone it said some connections are blocked from connecting from the fields, Im guessing for multi charing reasons due to the message that was displayed about proxy servers and such....does that mean 4g connections are denied as well? If so is there a way around it?

So, a big thanks to James Flatt on facebook. I have been able to connect via mudconnect.com. Just go there and do a search for carrion fields, it will give you an option to connect and play. It's only telnet, but hey, that's how we all started anyway, so, enjoy!
Also, Verizon can S my C.

I have an HTC Thunderbolt on Verizon and can confirm that I'm unable to connect to CF via the 3G service (unfortunately I do not get 4G service where I live). Turning on wifi and connecting to my home network instantly results in perfect CF connectivity.
As others have stated, this is evidentially Verizon's fault and there is pretty much nothing you can do about it short of a bunch of tech-savvy crap you probably wouldn't find worth the trouble even if you did know how do it.
tl;dr: Get an ISP (or wireless provider) that doesn't suck.

Don't use Verizon. They are blocking something (CF, or port 4449, or something). As far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with CF.
Twist ran into the same problem on his phone using Verizon. Others have reported similar issues on Verizon.

Well that sucks its the only option I have, and it just recently started happening a few months ago. I think it has something to do with the dynamic ip that 4glte sticks you with

This happens to me also when using Mobile Hotspot. It didn't used to. I used to play any time my modem/router's power would go out or I was away from my main internet source with my mobile. And yes, it began a short time ago, maybe few months ago. It was a sad day when I found out that I could still surf but the connection kept timing out to CF in my client.

44947, I don't think this would matter but...

I seem to remember first encountering this problem after a (the last?) server maintenance avail. Could that possibly be related?

Likely coincidental but yes, if I recall, that is likely the time that it began to happen.
