If you are referring to last night's uber lag, I noticed a substantial amount of packet loss between me and CF, and that lag was affecting a lot of other people too.

Also, I think you were outmatched in that fight, assuming you're talking about who I think you're talking about based on the clues you posted here.

I haven't had a single PK in the last few months.

And normally I can escape PK 9 out of 10. My commands just will not register in a timely fashion.

Having been in your shoes - I promise you, it's not a conspiracy against you specifically.

The deeper network structures of the internet in the continental united states are constantly changing and not well-organized. Sometimes you're running through networks that are crap for whatever reason for weeks at a time, sometimes you're running through better structures. For some insight to this, spend five to ten minutes doing ping and tracert checks before you play, and at different times of the day, for a couple of days. Then do it again in a few weeks or next month. You'll be able to see the network changing. You'll see a lot of little differences that are just the minor changes that are the result of randomly being shuttled one way or the other. Other times you'll see you're suddenly running through large structures that don't change for long periods - usually a giant regional web (between ISPs and hosting companies).

I probably wouldn't do it myself over seven items, but if he's being a jerkass then get your revenge cf-style.

As for arials, I know they kind of make wood elves obsolete outside of two classes (and the bonuses for those two classes aren't insignificant), but wood elves are supposed to be rare, and arials are supposed to be relatively common. For example, I can't think of many gameplay reasons to play a minotaur over a giant. But people not only do, but complain when they can't land a mino spot.
