42855, Lowbie looting from Argivo's thread
Posted by Oldril on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I looked back at that post and I can see how it was misunderstood.
What I am trying to say is I want to see more people get hardcore punished for the weak lowbie looting like got mentioned in Argivo's pbf.
I realize the incident I referenced is a bone of contention, I only brought it up to say I wish more imms would crack on lowbie looters who follow heros around, with that type of harsh penalty.
Sorry if it looked like I was trying to bring up a bad incident, I was actually trying to bring up the good punishment :(

If you're wasting your time lowbie-looting, you're probably not very good, and you'll lose that stuff before too long anyway.
It's the CIRCLE of LIIIIIIIIFE.
It's a cut-throat world and lowbie looting is part of it. Keep it IC and punish the guy yourself when you can. Asking the Imms to punish them for you is kinda lazy.

The guy who got a hero to follow me and when they fled from a mob that was pwning them.. felar chief ect.. I would lead them back in and shut door ect. I would send tells so more pks would happen. I kept almost every set 100+ hours.
I don't do that anymore, bad for game. If I am nearby and I see someone die that is not in range. I'll take what I need, up to 3-4 pieces. Read the thing in the village, Spoils of war.

42865, I don't think this happens as much as you think it happens

Since corpseguard has come in and numbers are at a point where most PK is in small engagements actually getting more then a couple of pieces (if any) from a high level corpse is a challenge.
Honestly when you see that lowbie wrecking his range that has a good set its far more likely he has a good set because he is wrecking his range and cherry picking the good pieces from lots and lots of kills.

I know this isn't even directed at me, but sorry for the idiot comment.

No worries.
What I need is Twist to proof-read my posts. He seems to know what I am saying every time and says it way better than I am trying to say it :(
