Can't reply on QHCF or Battlefields, but felt you should at least get an answer.
1) I saw you in Galadon, debated whether to attack you or not, and ultimately decided you're an elf and I'm an orc. An orc would want to see ever elf beaten and abused. It's Galadon, it's not like I chased you into Veran. Still, figured I'd run in with damage and not lag at let you run away. You near killed me, so I assumed you were willing to fight.
2) As to war banners, I didn't banner the first one because I totally forgot about it. After you died the second time, I made sure to remember. It's no different than if I had remembered the first time. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty certain that war banners are more effective when they use gear, than empty corpses. Sucks, but that's the way it is.
Ultimately, who hasn't been multi-killed in the past, and it's a certain amount of player responsibility NOT to put themselves in said situations. Gear comes and goes. No different than being looted. I feel like you're rather just jaded after these years.

How about changing things up so war banner doesn't just take/destroy gear, and rather, just desecrates it or breaks it; which would give it the (broken) flag.
I've never personally had an orc use war banner on my corpse, but I've had demons take a few items in the past. Maybe with the new broken flag, it could be applied to a few more scenarios now?
P.S. I think the repair costs for broken equipment are a bit steep. Having to go and replace gear (that was once previously shattered) or farm gold really seem to take an equal amount of time. Just one additional time sink that keeps people from doing other (more important or fun) things.

Farming gold is very easy once you've established a method or route that works for you. At hero, the repair costs are steep, but you can generally collect a good-sized amount of gold very quickly if you have someone to help you, assuming you are not well equipped to do it yourself.

Like.

I think it's supposed to be steep. If you don't want to use gold, then just sacrifice it and go kill the mob. In many cases, you can't do that or have the gold handy, and it's faster. Even if it might not be a win-win situation, it's at least a win-didn't lose situation.

42536, imms said no to warbanner breaking

"The war banner incorporates looted items into a single war banner item, so breaking them wouldn't make much sense.
Demons want your pies, not to step on your pies."

Yeah, guess I don't really follow up with the forums too closely
Didn't really know the particular stance of the staff in regards to war banner before. Thanks.

The banner design is what it is and orcs are evil bastards. You should be able to RP an orc in a way it is supposed to behave and not feel bad about it. So keep playing your char and don't worry about Rogue being butthurt.

I can agree on the point of the banner, however, multikilling someone at their altar, right after they unghost leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
I enjoyed Lindu, when I occasionally interacted with him and respect Rogue's honest attempt at a comeback character. I think it is unfortunate that he broke character like that, as Lindu showed some promise. Generally when something frustrating comes my way, I take a step back from my keyboard so that I dont react in a way I will regret later.

Doesn't sound like much of a multi-kill. Said he went after him, and Rogue decided to fight back instead of run. Sounds like he wanted the 2nd go, and lost, and the war banner is just the icing on the cake.
That said, I'll throw in my agreement, overall I liked Lindu as well.
Also, can I second the idea of war banners breaking lots of stuff instead of destroying it?

Is there a word in Finnish that directly translates to "butthurt"? Because that would be frickin' awesome.

I think our own word for butthurt would be good.

Noun, peppukipeys. Adjective, peppukipeä.
Miksi niin peppukipeä, veli?

42551, If you want to be literal, that will do.

Describing physical pain in the bottom, but people not knowing the English term won't make the connection to the English usage of butthurt that is used here. As for specific term, it might vary based on location. One doesn't come into my mind right now.
As for your sentence, "Miksi olet peppukipeä, veli?" would be better, as the sentence would then have a verb.
