40360, Pally question

Are paladins allowed to use elementals and other non-sentient pets?
Are they allowed to use sentient pets?
Are they allowed to use pet animals?

Using evil charmies would probably be bad mojo.

Summoning good-aligned (and maybe neutral) mobs to mess up people using area attacks (and/or bloodthirst) would probably also be a bad idea.
40369, I'm pretty sure all elementals are neutral/neutral. nt

He asked about more than just elementals.

I don't see a problem with any of those things.

Just recalled when i had a paladin with charmies, he was called coward because of that. Maybe something changed, but won't paladin with 3 elementals and mercenary will be called a coward?

Just curious, i have some evil idea.

Anyone can call you a coward, and that one in particular is a pretty common attack leveled against characters who uses pets of any kind.

Something else entirely to consider would be a more specific context, like your religion. I could very well be remembering incorrectly, but for example I believe Ysaloerye would have RP issues with a Paladin follower using some of those things.

Pally with sphere victory or destruction shouldn't care of such things like using elementals, since he is kinda zealous about victory at almost any price?

But there is a code of honor, too. How is it honorable to use elementals say, against one evil character? Or sphere destruction can justify it, since destruction of the evil is much more important (only one thing that is important) for such paladin?

While your points aren't necessarily wrong or illogical, I think it's unlikely anyone (like an Immortal) is ever going to bust your Paladins chops over using an item that summons an earth elemental, for example.

Like Isildur pointed out, you probably shouldn't roll with evil mercenaries, conjure up evil pets, or summon good/neutral mobs to slaughter.

I think this fits into the particulars you just have to approach however feels right based on your role. There is no single correct answer.
40373, Okay, thanks. NT

40367, may have just been conjurer specific

But as a conjie when I had a bound elemental I could not use items to raise an additional elemental.

That being said since the destruction of the dragon tower I have seen some jazzier elementals out and about for non-conjurers.
40379, Is your idea

To get ganked by the village?

Because villagers used to argue that it was fine to gank my conjie, because I had 3 allies with me (familiar, elemental, angel/archon).

And having a group of elementals with you on a regular basis is probably justification for villagers to seek your death.
