39520, For Daevryn: Mercy of the typhoon?
Posted by Amberion on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I'm pretty certain about how it works:
You have a chance to an extra round of attack when someone leaves battle (Be it by word or flee. (Rescue too?)) and you face multiple targets. (The multiple other targets all can get hit.)
+ you get a very short damroll duration when someone flees in a group battle and the legacy triggers.

Correct?

Anyways, I can see the potential in this but I'm wonder if you've yet to see anyone get any use out of this at all? I know you've written before that you've seen plenty of people and thought that they'd benefit a lot from it.

What's your thoughts on this legacy? Is it as niche as renewal of the spring and err, that mass retreat thingy etc.?

It isn't a round, its one attack. I thought it was a round until I took it as well. It is the stink legacy.

Going to try to look at the code and make sure I'm remembering the current state of this correctly before I comment. I've jacked MotT up in little ways enough times over the years that I'm no longer 100% sure from memory where I left it.

would apreciate if you took the time, to look at it?

If i understand it right, and from what others claims, it do sound rather useless, But few tweaks could make it quite good..

example a little lag on flee person? extra parting blow perhaps? likes its written in helpfile i belive..

agian, thanks for the time to answer my questions
39556, Thank you! :D

When someone flees/words/etc. from you, gain a decent +dam/+morale affect lasting 6-7 ticks, as long as you don't currently have one from that particular flee-er.

Also have a high chance to take one or more attacks instantly on each person present allied with the flee-er or fighting you. This part also fires on a kill. These attacks have some chance to be blocked, but also can have specials such as deathblow fire that won't on most unblockable hits, so that's maybe a mixed blessing.
39618, Thank you very much for that answer!

But the other part of the question, have there ever been any warriors making somewhat decent use of the legacy?
39622, I took this legacy on a rager Berserker
Posted by Lhydia on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
And I took it for exactly the scenarios he described. Unblockable deathblow parting hits sounds awesome. This never happened for me and I never got more than one free attack per flee/death.
39623, what was your str? nt

39626, by and large you want to be over average (20) for any skill/legacy prime stat nt

39628, My own guesswork

Imms have commented in trying to make the helpfiles at least give you an idea of what's important.

Elite of Kiadana-Rah (Fire Giants/25 str)
overwhelm a foe
furious with battle frenzy

Those would be anything guessing towards str (if any) as a prime stat. Of course, some legacies just don't HAVE prime stats (balance of the sisters, cry of thunder, chilling embrace), etc, so this could be one of those...but it sure don't make me think felar/gnome when I read the helpfile :P
39629, Fire Sword Berserker is the obvious choice.

Not sure how much mileage he got from it though.
