39000, Orcs and Onyx/Ruby Scarab (and religions in general).

Are orcs too 'base' to follow Scarab or Cyradia? What about other imms in general?
Not having an orc god for immteraction and being unable to follow other gods makes an orc less interesting to play.
Even then, there are so few active religions that could remotely cater to an orc (no goodie imms, no outlander imms, no orderly imms). What do you have, Daevryn, Thror, and Iunna? Maybe Qaledus and Lyr?

I could see an Orc fit into the Great Wild Beast slot. It would probably be difficult to pull off an Orc as a standard Ruby Scarab cultist.

Since Scar is somewhere busy for a brief period of time (details on wizlist hours, I think), I'll take a shot at answering this for him.
My understanding with the GWB angle is that it's the same religion (so same spheres), but the GWB is simply a different form of that diety, that may make more sense to certain cultures. Kinda like how the Roman god Mars might be basically the same as the Greek god Ares...but have traces of those respective cultures in their names/interpretations.
There may be some more differences that play out in game, but I *think* that'll get you started on the right path.

I did ask this question back in April and he said GWB is not sphere dependent unless you are playing an empowerment class. That post is currently on page 5 of this forum, about halfway down.

There seem to be a few of us wannabe-initiates out there. Are you still super-busy with RL or can we rejoice?

I'd entertain an orc follower.
Fair warning though...burden is on you to both convince me and the other people you run into that you are enlightened enough to understand the "truth" and still RP an orc well enough that you don't look like a human in an orc suit. You should also spend some time thinking about how truth vs. orc tribe/customs plays out. I think both are totally doable.
(Note: I don't want to discuss any of the answers to the above on the forums...just dropping hints. I'd prefer my religion stay totally in game for all philosophical discussions.)
I'd also entertain a "not good/smart enough to be a real follower but a really fun RP "tool" for Cyradia to manipulate."...but depending on your expectations this option B might not leave you happy.

39009, I would let you manipulate m...wait, what? nt

39006, You forgot Mergulla. In fact all of her Spheres of influence fit right into Orc RP. nt

Everybody should want to follow Daevryn. I don't see the problem.
Having a deadbeat dad even feeds right into orc RP!
