38293, Shifters and dam buffs.

Do things like frenzy, feral growl and ignite bump damroll on a shifted shifter? Does it make a difference? Does the +20ish dam make the same difference it would on a warrior?

If it shows up in your affects list when you're in form then it counts. You can also check your hitroll/damroll while in form to verify. Shift, check it, revert, use frenzy, shift, check it again.

It's more that you hear the numbers show up when you're in form, they just don't seem to matter.

I'd imagine that a +15 damroll frenzy would be noticeable on a final-tier offense form like ram or lion.
If you want to test it, get someone with one of those forms to go pop some mob then have a bard sing battaglia or bagatelle or whatever it's called on them. Or have a hero shaman commune aristaeia. Or a hero healer commune frenzy. Then kill the same mob again and notice whether the melee hits seem to be any more powerful.

38301, That's the problem with imagining....

It does not always match up with reality. With Nefla, I could pile on something like +20 hit dam with ignite and crimson dragon sleeves. Possibly more. It didn't make a *noticeable* difference. Zulg assures us it does make a difference, but I wouldn't bother on another character.

38302, Here's how it breaks down.

You do that for the ram, and all it does is make your ram go from 5 DEMOs a round to 5 DEVA's. Which as noticable as it is, isn't terribly amazing.
You do that for a mongoose, and you go from hitting 3-4 mauls a round to 3-4 EVISCERATES. Much more noticable.
(I was assuming you are adding +15 damroll)

38304, pretty sure zulg said it didn't work that way

in that there were damage caps for forms, especially deffensive forms so even with +100 damage you won't see a mongoose hitting mangles.

Going from **DEMO** to **DEVA** seems pretty nice to me. It's like a warrior having another +10 or +15 damroll.

38295, Yes, Sometimes, Probably not.

Yes they bump damroll, the difference is mostly determined by how offensive you were to begin with, meaning how high avg. you form has. Ram isn't going to notice much, but mongoose will. No it won't be as noticeable as on a warrior (in my experience).
