37357, Marshdweller dirt kick change?
Posted by Marshy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
As a marshdweller explorer my dirt kick used to give the spray of muck echo most of the time and poison a small percentage of the time. Now I just get normal dirt kick in terrains outside of a swamp. Was something changed or broken within the past 2 or 3 days?

I was going for the echoes (what's sand doing here?). I'll tweak the duration.
37374, Cool.

Thanks for responding.
37375, While you're at it... how about the auto dirt kick marshdwellers and bedouins get?

Will its duration stay one tick?
I'm asking 'cause I remember someone complaining about how it firing at wrong time can really screw things up.
37360, It sounds like a bug was fixed

It doesn't make sense that marsh dweller dirt kick could poison in the mountains, for example. Even if all terrains count as home terrain.
37361, Maybe.

But the 2 tick dirt kick is the more important piece. That no longer happens. Bedouin and marshdweller getting 2 tick dirt kicks were part of the appeal to the hometerrain. Taking that away now without warning is pretty rough.

So it doesn't last for more than normal when in hometerrain specifically or are you an explorer?
37363, I'm an explorer.

It works fine in swamps. It used to work fine when out of swamps, meaning, I got the hometerrain bonus when out of swamps. Now I do not get the bonus when outside my hometerrain even though wanderlust is working appropriately.
37365, I noticed this recently too

This was the main reason I went explorer/marshdweller.

If this was an intended change, how about a compromise on changing marshdweller back. If it's raining, allow the 2-hour dirt in the wilds (since rain makes mud) and don't allow the poison chance.

Explorers give up control weather anyway, so the proposed revision is situational/tactical at best.
