would it improve the current system if you could only have one of each type of non-sleek a/b/s. i don't mean just one aura, but only one of each specific wand. it could stop you from picking up a second of the exact same wand/talisman. the power from one repels the other or something like that. just a thought.

At the moment, a solo character can, if they choose, keep a wand accessible, even if a cheat ring is after it.
The change you propose guarantees that if a cheat ring wanted to control wand locations, they could.
