Since this was also in Molo's thread, I have never had this work in any of my current Black APs (and I've had quite a lot). Mek thinks it's because it has to be called but the old helpfile and the new helpfile both said automatic.

Is this a mistake? Is the skill not working?

Syntax: call 'power of the damned'

Those of the Imperial Black Sect have damned countless souls to torment
for all eternity. While affected by the Power of the Damned those of the
Black Sect automatically call upon those souls to take their place when an
enemy attempts to summon them.

It's power. You have to call it and have in your affects - then it will work as autoskill.

Because I must have done hundreds of summonings of imperials, and only once did I get a damned soul. Nice exp for it though, if I remember correctly.

My understanding is that you need to call it; at least you did the last time I played a Black.

Almost positive the helpfile says automatic...which would explain why through several characters I never saw it work :P

Why wouldn't you over several characters try using either c 'power of or call 'power of

I'm fairly certain you have to call it. But I read that helpfile myself and whatever, I still would call it.

Kind of wierd, because I know how many hours you've put into that Sect to not have tried it once.

On another note, man, that seems like it was a pretty good power when I used it and you missed out!!

...and the Immortal said that the reason it wasn't firing was because the paladin was higher level and likely "saving" from it firing. I distinctly remember this conversation with one of my APs long ago and since the helpfile says automatic, figured it would eventually fire when I heroed my APs (which I never do since I delete before then for some dumb reason).

Not to mention, but when an Imm says "working as intended" you can't do much beyond that.
