I know nowadays we tend to want to revamp/update/replace existing areas that aren't "up to CF snuff", before we think about adding new areas. So, I thought I'd ask, what areas are on the staff's list of areas they'd like to update? And players, what do areas would you like to see updated?

Personally, Emerald Forest has always seemed really campy to me, and not entirely in keeping with CF canon.

I do recall on one of the hero-imm threads Daev listed a few areas they were looking to update (not that I can find that post now) as a sort of guide for people who might be thinking of trying to hero imm as to what areas thay might offer to work on. I think he said there were only a few that needed really big overhauls. (Whitecloaks now removed from the list but there were 2 or 3 others.)

One I believe was the ship's graveyard, which I would love to work on myself given the chance. But the whole hero imm thing is probably not something I am suited to given my limited CF experience and character list so I have not offered. Though having a religion eventually seems like it could be pretty kick ass.

I'd be willing to bet it includes Emerald Forest, Arboria and Arial City.

I don't know which hero imms are working on what, but would be nice to know sort of, just to have a kind of coming attractions thing. (I thought Baer tweaked Arial City already but I could be wrong) Fjarn's area I can't wait to run around in and probably die in repeatedly. I'm hoping it's a fun area to run around in. Area explore like, but without all the deaths that usually comes in those places.
