30612, Drive skill

Just curious, How is it that drive can hit mage's that are in wraith form or control translucence? I assume that in order to drive someone out of the room you'd have to crash into them a little bit like bash yes? Was just curious how that worked. Just doesn't seem logical.

30634, That's not consistent with how it works

For example, if I'm a necro behind a wall of putrid flesh, no blow is going to hit me whilst that wall stands. But someone can still drive me.
30635, I believe you are incorrect.. (n/t)

30638, It's been like this for years too

Every necro I've played has had this done to him/her. And I've played quite a lot of them.

I assumed it was by design and never posted on bug-board because I didn't want all warriors to start doing it.
30640, Also, is this buggy?

Failed drive causes the wall to collapse too.

I believe you have been incorrect since circa July, which is apparently when I changed it.

I would have sworn it was earlier than that, but, there it is.

Let me know if you spot any logs from August or after where drive does that to wall of putrid flesh, though, because then that would indicated I fixed it wrong, which has been known to happen.
30642, Haven't seen it recently

Just don't remember hearing that the change had happened. It's a good change though, imho. Come to think of it, I probably wasn't paying cf much attention back in July.

I want to say it was a bug board, but who knows. Sometimes I just change #### I think isn't right and forget to tell anyone.
30639, On second thought

Are you basically saying that active skills can hit you? I have to admit that I don't count them, so if you are, then on that basis I was incorrect.

It's a word of magic. There are no explanations. Seriously, come on.

By your logic how do any weapons hit the person? How are they ever touching anything?

It's game mechanics. Period.
