I fought Gzurweeg A LOT pre-bigweapon, during-bigweapon and post-bigweapon.

I'll just make some examples here as I don't remember the exact numbers.

When he had around 150-200 charges he hit me for DEMOS/DEVAST trough stoneskin, aura, shield, protection vs good. (without sigil of pain)

With his 300ish charge weapon he hit me for DEMOS/DEVAS trough stoneskin, aura, shield, protection vs good. (without sigil of pain)

(It might have been MANGLE/MASSACRE but I can't recall correctly and haven't dugg up the logs.)

My point is that he didn't seem to hit much harder even though he most likely had another 80-90 damroll. Also when he had 60ish charges on his weapon he didn't hit that much weaker than he did with his 300 charge weapon, maybe MASSACRES through those protections or so. One would think that 200ish more damroll would make a bigger difference.

I remember fighting Ravon and Waris and they seemed to be hitting A LOT harder through protections even with less charges. So does it scale? Or has there been a change that makes it scale down?

Generally, damroll does not scale. That being said, you slap on that much DR possibly plus racial resistance and you're not going to see a huge difference in adding 100 damroll.

Or am I just reading to much into that sentance?

Can't remember capping damage comes before protections are applied, or after.

Ravon's was 31? not sure, I know the whip is over 30.
Gzurweeg had that same whip the second time he had a big unholy (I think).

He has no idea how avr/damroll works, nor he can understand why I didn't care about weapon average at all (when I had many charges) and why I used 21 avr sword as my primary and 6 avr sword as my secondary. :)

... but I'm not that familiar with that sword really.
