29641, Return of the Random Snoop!
Posted by Grobbak on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
As some of you might have noticed, people have been getting random
immxp for what appears to be no reason at all.

Well there actually is a reason. I've been (and other imms do this)
giving out small amounts for roleplay. Just a small boost for doing
something we all should be doing anyways.

Yes, we listen randomly to even the lowest level players. =)

Enjoy and have a safe and happy new years!

Random snoop! My luck must suck, Never sees me. Took 35 levels, and many, many hours to finally even get role experience. My Cousin has gotten roleplay experience twice, and it wasn't even that good of roleplay...
29774, Haha I'm sorry, but I have to ask this.

Does your whole extended family play or something? :P
You guys should have CF LAN parties. Or not, since you'll get ROTD.
29775, And I have to ask this...after my explanation.

Well...define extended...Both my uncle, and my Cousin (they are of no relation, go figure, different sides) live with me, and of course, so does my brother. Of course, We're all also in high school (except my uncle). But just us four play.

And I have to ask, what does ROTD stand for?

Think of it as CF's version of the "Red ring of death".

After a few confused, panicked moments talking to a Carrion Fields customer service representative, you will likely be taking a vacation from game play.

I know Realm of the Dead, I guess I should've put those two together. The funny thing is, we don't permagroup, so we're never there for it, buy my uncle gets taken there alot, because he gets angry and says stupid things, like stupid jew elves...and my cousin also feels the need to make 4 characters per day ( a bit of an exaggeration.) but other than that, I think we've only been there for permagrouping twice? and only once was it even close to permagrouping, the other time I didn't even know it was my uncle.
29779, No guarantees, but...

If you're really not intentionally permagrouping, you might be better off sending a note to the Imms explaining your situation and who you are, so that various Imms aren't continually thinking you're bad guys, especially if you all roll a lot of new characters.

I dunno how it worked out, but I've heard of people who play from the same house/dorm/campus/lab or whatever giving the staff a "heads up" and being left alone, so long as they didn't push boundaries.

Well, lately for the most part, we all have characters that try and kill each other, which I think is a suitable remedy. Except my cousin gets a bit cocky, so..and annoying...and really deserves to be killed an hunted down constantly...which I've done...But it's not bad, they seem to notice that we're not trying to permagroup, and have been pretty cool about it for the most part, except once...I was killed purged for an agreement that completely happened IC, all roleplayed, and was even within acting of my character, with no OOC preperations or talking, I just wanted to kill the red dragon and get the money, I happened to ask my brother, who I knew was an offensive shifter because I traveled with him, if he wanted to come with for the gear. That was our agreement. He died, I gave him the gear when I killed the dragon, and the Imm killed me and purged me...and I some really nice axes at level 33....I'm not sure who did it, but we explained the whole thing, told them it all happened IC, and they still did it. That was a few years ago though, I almost forgot about it until now.
29661, Kickass stuff! :D Love it! n/t
