At one point I hit the limit which basically said, "This is a role, not
a damn novel." I managed to get 51 entered in game but I don't
know if that limit is based on total length, or number of chapters.

Padwei have in excess of 60 entries, so I'm guessing no. Whether anyone will ever read that much is an open question.
