Do any of you guys (staff) find IC marriage to be...sort of lame?

Side note: I think Tarleton's latest thing is actually funny, and not creepy. Despite the pervy nature of it. I'm much more weirded out by the Fort weddings.

this game is not about character to character romance. It just isn't. Not for me.

Well personally I find it weird. After trying to rp it once, I have decided to never try it again.

And I agree with the Tarleton thing actually being funny and not creepy.

You'll find that there have been 23 marriages in the CF atmosphere in the past 2 years. 2 between humans, 4 between elves, 3 between imms and morts, 5 between shifters and rangers, 3 between fortress and outlanders, and 4 between heralds and demons.

Now everyone knows that 6.2% of the CF populace can be broken down into 6 types of marriages. 2.6 of them all end in divorce. What I'm thinking you're seeing is that marriage /= real life when involved with the .05/8ths of all mudders.

I find lots of things people do in character stupid and creepy. You'll get over it...or not. Doesn't really matter.

Edit: If it's impeding your ability to enjoy the game okay, then sure bring it up. If all you're doing, which is what it looks like, is using this 'question' as a means of sharing your opinion with everyone and trying to get people to change how they act in game because you're branding them 'creepy' and 'lame' and trying to get the Imms to agree with you. That's kinda sad.

Is this really affecting your enjoyment of the game?

Mostly because 3/4 of the "women" who get married are dudes.

And that's just weird.
