25301, since we are making the game more mage friendly
Posted by laxman on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
How about we make the game a teenzy weenzy bit more villager friendly

this has been asked 98987987987987987987987 times before but

Can you put a key into the hidden and secret rooms in galadon please.
25335, Risk and reward.

I like having the locked rooms in Galadon. Galadon is already the easy-kill zone for ragers. The chance they may get stuck in there and turned into mush from a combined Tribunal effort balances some of the easy reward they get with a nice splash of risk.

Do away with the key, at that.

It's not Battle-unfriendly. The Battle characters who can pick locks do just fine. :P

If you're a warrior, figure out where the key is and get it.
25323, Sure it is unfriendlier to Battle than it is to the other cabals.

If you get summoned in there before you obtain the key, you can't simply quaff to escape.

One of the (many) lessons learned by Ragers. I'm even a serial Rager fan, but given only very extremely rare cases would a summoner not be visible to you...it doesn't take long to learn not to hang out around Galadon when a summoner's sitting in one of those rooms.
25328, My point was lost on you

It's unfriendly to Battle warriors, sure. Battle gets lots of classes that can deal with a lock even without a key. If it's all warriors and none of those classes as a cabal, I don't feel worse for it than I do if Empire dies because they don't have a healer on at the moment.
25329, I was being difficult because I remember time when I played

Battle and there wasn't twenty villagers in the cabal, let alone logged on.
25325, so your saying there is a key
Posted by laxman on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
and if your refering to the thief skill I will curse you.

No, there's an actual key you can go get.

Apparently no one paid attention the last few times I played a Battle warrior and went and got it for people. :P
25330, Actually

That key's been in the village pit semi-regularly for the last two weeks. Several of us know about it, though of course when I or another with pick lock was on, it wasn't necessary.
25311, Those two rooms are not created equal

I like the fact that there's no key (AFAIK) to one of those in a nifty roleplay way.
25317, Thus said the necro to the villager. NT

I played another class almost exclusively. That's when I learned to really like that room. It's neato.
25307, Totally. nt
