24541, Tips for Rolling a Minotaur
Posted by Tsunami on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Any tips or tricks for getting a minotaur? I've wanted to play one pretty badly for quite some time and have never had the opportunity. I rarely see any active, max one or two. Are they really that limited or do people roll them and horde them?
24544, I had the chance to play one about 3 weeks back

Maybe 2. I wanted to play something else though.

Some might just play when you don't.

There's a handful around, and we're pretty good about purging ones that don't play. Minotaurs in general also autodelete faster than other characters.

Your best bet may be trying right after a reboot. I haven't tried to prove this out, it's just my theory.

Gotchya, will try to be vigilant and find me a reboot or two. Thanks for the advice.

If you manage to get a minotaur, can you have an additional prompt afterward that asks if you would like to keep or change the name of the character? It's happened to me two or three times over the years where I log in to make a character, enter the name, and then pick a minotaur. Now that sounds fine until you realize you just made a minotaur named Bert.

Due to the way the rolling process works, that's kind of a huge pain in the ass. (Relative to what you'd think.)
24547, I've got my next Santa Zulgh request then. -nt-

Could you just add a namechange inherent or skill to minotaurs usable only at level 1?
24548, An imm changed my name for me once

Because my minotaur was originally going to be a wood-elf druid, and had an inappropriate name.
