22864, why the change to the strangle timer?
Posted by poisonmaster on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
it's bad enough assassin don't have any way to initiate battle with a damaging moving other than murder and tiger claw, but now the one way to actually slow down fleeing and flying enemies, which was strangle, now has some ridiculous timer on it. Strangle was never the end all be all of knockout moves anyway.

Eh... okay vent over. But yeah, why the change? Was it done knowing the changes you were going to make to hand to hand or what?

It was done to make knock-out moves more consistent, and to give a general amount of protection regardless of how you were physically knocked out. This change went in when air shifters did (boulder hawk anyone?).
