22139, Edge idea for manipulating wands/staves when blind

Being able to see potions when blind is nice, but I propose adding an edge to make the same thing possible for classes that use wands/talismen. Such an ability could require a fairly high % in both detect magic and wands or talismen. Classes that don't use talismen such as AP's would get the same ability for just wands.

"Tactile Caduceus" You can wield and manipulate wands and talismen even when blind.

Spellcasters which this edge have learned to discern which talismen and wands they possess in their inventory and can manipulate by touch and reading subtle magical influences. Such familiarity with their devices are not perfect, however, as there is a small chance of fumbling with such a wand or talisman, causing delays or possibly even dropping the device when under pressure.

I'm not saying this will never exist, but if it did, it probably would be ridiculously expensive and have a high mishap rate.

If it wouldn't work while you were fighting, probably less of each of those.

..why scrolls can't be used in combat if defending but wands/staves can?

Unrolling a scroll and reading what it says seems like it would take a little more concentration than pointing a wand that's already in your hand at someone.

And, hell, not everything is meant to be identical.
22156, I'd feel a little bit of cop out towards Maelstro of the Veils if that jumped in.

Would have to add more to it, I says.
22140, How about scrolls in combat also ~

I kind of see both of these somewhat unbalancing certain tactics verses particularly strong/annoying mages
22164, seconded, and I don't even fight them that often

I think this is just a 'waaaah let me reapply mah a/b/s when it falls while I'm blind' thread.
