Okay okay... what if you did the same thing...

Duergar imperial dagger - avalanche/enigma...

but instead of pole you take mace. Then you have boneshatter, drum, cranial... more offense. You've got a little more in the way of dealing with non-bashables.

You also sacrifice cutoff... I mean... isn't cutoff + avabash (TM) uber good at sealing kills???

I'd do this.

Imperial (Or battle) Duergar Warrior mace/dagger and I'd try Whirlwind (You know, boneshatter + all those dagger maledicts could do good for ya) and Whispers. Gather some of those healing edges for warrior and I think you'd do pretty good!

Whirlwind was tres suck when I had it. I was doing arial mace/spear and saw no benefit after impale/boneshatter was landed. I swore I would never take it again.

However, I have had whispers twice now... and had whispers with all the regen edges. I'd do THAT again in a heart beat. It was AWESOME.

IMHO, this isn't really the time to make an Empire warrior.

Sure, Empire isn't doing awesome right now, but if history is any indication (barring deletion or unforeseen circumstances), by the time you hit hero range the lich bandwagon will have hit full steam and you'll be begging to be the 10th guy in a 9 man gang. "Come back, bandwagon! Wait for meeeee! Duergar warrior like kills too!"

Something like Battle, Outlander, or even Scion might be more interesting. Your mileage may vary.

I haven't really played since December, so I have no idea what's going on right now.

Well poo. What would be a fun outlander thing to play? Particularly knowing your going to have to tangle with lich and co.?
