21168, A greater shaman curse idea

I was pondering the idea of cursed armor and I thought since it was caled cursed maybe evil shaman should have some sort of ability to actually curse armor. After some more pondering I came up with this idea which is along those lines.

Curse of Black Hand

Those who have been cursed by the black hand have an extremely difficult time unclenching their hands. As a result they cannot discard things from their hands and may find manipulating other items on their person difficult or impossible.

affects
This works kind of like a forced iron grip in that under its effects the afflicted cannot remove help items and weapons. It also makes it very difficult to drop or get things as well as opening/locking/unlocking doors. I think it should also be difficult to quaf potions and pretty much anything that requires using fingers. I would make it somewhat akin to grease in the difficulty of manipulating items.

I feel shaman are all about having a variety of offensive tactics beyond straight damage and this could be more utility then just another stat loss skill.
21176, That's very unbalancing

At the moment, teleportation is the normal form of escape from a shaman.

Soon as you make it hard to use a teleport potion...

... it's a big change to game balance. I don't think it would work unless you lost some supps at the same time.

Sounds like the effect you get from an invoker's webbing.
21178, actually yeah it does hey

I forgot about web for some reason when writing the idea up, but I would consider it to be stronger then web and affect using items like grease and making both held items no-remove.

basically I envisioned it kind of like a shaman primodial vengeance, hard to land and nasty in well planned situations but not neccesarily an I win button. I guess another way of describing it would be web + grease + iron grip all in one shot.

as per the other concern, uhh the skill wouldn't hinder casting teleport and by and large I would argue teleport is still waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to spectacularily good at what it does with no real risk so anything that makes it harder is just bringing it into balance.

It's not like many people are going to escape a shaman they've fought for much time on foot (except ragers).

Also, this is not entirely dissimilar to spiderhands too.

Again, I think shaman would need to give something up for this (e.g. fatigue and energy drain).
