How about giving paladins and healers, maybe shamans too, the option of tithing to their church?(or maybe that would be called tithing the church) Ignorance of grammar aside, basically something like the thief donations bit. Don't really know what use it would be except for RP, but I thought the idea might be worth discussion.

More typical RP might be giving coins to a beggar in a major city. Or conversely, killing them. Do what suits the character. Nothing stops you from giving 10 gold to your shrine guardian every time you go there to pray.

CF Religion's are all sort of unique and not really based on Christianity which tithing is a fundamental part of. Some religions this might make sense for, but most it wouldn't. It's almost like having characters go to confession and get baptized.

Well after looking up the history and meaning of the word tithe, I'd say I partly agree with you now. So perhaps I used the wrong word due to my love of fantasy and having only heard the word in such a context and not a product of the oh-so-evil christians. Just 'donation' would suffice. The idea is to give a paladin something productive (RP wise) to do with all the cash he might get from slaying evil doer imperials. Money could go to some soup kitchen or some such. I don't really see any goody religion that wouldn't look kindly on donations, wether to its own religious organization or simply the 'needy'.

You could say something like this is purely aesthetic and a waste of time. I'd say the aesthetics of CF are what make it so immersive.

Of course, I did say healer/shamans too didn't I. Maybe not them, as they could be evil as well. Was really thinking paladin code with the charity and benevolence and what not.

This already somewhat enforced by the fact that paladins tend to get nasty dreams if they carry around too much cash or spare gear. So they either use that "excess" cash to buy preps or they give it to other players. Ditto for gear.
