I've already got parry up to 90% on regular ranking before level 30, since I tank 80% of my groups... but I still see other people tanking mobs in Arial City, FON etc. for two or three or even five hours to get thier defenses up to 100 percent... I have a question, have you ever screwed with these people Imms by teleporting into the area and "tweaking" the mobs temporarily? Stone skin, haste, frenzy and bless would really screw up someone's day and make them think twice about doing that again, heh, if you're trying to stop that behavior. If you don't already do it, are you considering it? ;)

Just a thought since it seems you've been trying to discourage that desperation to be better, it'd be really funny, and make the player think about his last scare that almost gave him a mobdeath.

The imms seem to be taking two sides of the story here. First they say there's no real benefit to taking time out of regular life to practice your skills, aside from pk skills that make no since during ranking. At the same time, they've put in quite a bit of effort to stop people from doing it. Its obvious that its not going to lag the system just because someone wants to beat up on arials for a few hours. If its not going to make them uber-powerful then I say let them go ahead and do it and let's everybody just shut up about it. Personally when I make a new character I try to pick a different class from the last one. Taking a bit of time outside ranking to practice not only boosts my abilities but is a relatively quick refresher on how particular spells/skills work with each other.

If people are botting then they'll have nasty things happen. If not, then I would *hope* the imms wouldn't interfere.

I agree.
